The Playhouse is booked on a regular basis – usually early evening on Monday & Friday – by Sue Jeffery who runs drama classes for children from six to eighteen years old to prepare for grade exams in speech and drama. The class also enters festivals and prepares for drama school auditions.
The drama classes are separate from the Playhouse, but many pupils also belong to the Saturday morning Youth Theatre Company (see “Theatre Company”. The difference between them is that the main aim of the Drama class is to teach drama and pass examinations, whereas the Youth Company aims to rehearse each Saturday morning to put on a production.
