The
Playhouse has an extensive and wide ranging programme of live
entertainment featuring amateur or professional performers. The current
programme is shown in the table below - for more information on each
event click on the right hand column. For most shows the Playhouse is
prepared to accept bookings by telephone, relying on customers to turn
up and pay on the night. There is a good audience experience at the Playhouse with raked seating leading down to the flat stage area so that everyone gets a good view. The foyer is available for a pre show and interval drink. The Playhouse thrives on active audience support with many patrons coming on a regular basis. The best way to ensure that you keep abreast of Playhouse activity is to become a member and receive the Playhouse newsletter. For £5 per annum you won’t miss a thing! Members receive £1 off the cost of each performance of any Playhouse Theatre Company production (shown in bold in the table on the right). For the membership application form click on the link below (note that currently the form needs to be printed off and posted to the address shown on the form). Productions where all of the ticket money comes to the Playhouse are shown in bold. The financial risk for other productions is borne by the hirers.
