The plotting leads a twisted course through a drunken doctor’s office, to a striptease act by an Angela Rippon look-alike, to a last-act rendezvous in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Suggested by Thomas Middleton’s 1608 comedy of the same name, it has the gusto, delight in intrigue, and feeling for low-life exuberance of a Jacobean play. Language and content may offend.
