Her evening takes a turn for the better (and the worse) when strong-minded and opinionated Arlin delivers a bouquet of flowers to her door. The two women find themselves mutually appalled, yet appallingly intrigued with each other, as Jane Shepard’s darkly comic one-act play brings two very different people together.
HALF-HOUR WITH THE EARL: Martin Williamson presents Bertram, the Earl of Painswick, who is at his wits end! His house is falling into ruin and the servants are revolting, so he decides to do small talks to raise revenue to renovate his home and keep it out of the hands of Oligarchs and other undesirables. He regales us with various escapades that take place on a daily basis at Watkin Castle, his ancestral home! | |
