Bed Among The Lentils
Susan has always dreamed of having a perfect life as the wife of a vicar, member of the Parish Council and an upstanding pillar of the community. Sadly for Susan things are rarely so straight-forward and she finds herself questioning her marriage, her religion and her whole life. She soon finds solace in the most unexpected of places; a Bed Among The Lentils.
A Lady Of Letters
Armed with her trusty Platinum and some Basildon Bond, Irene Ruddock sets out to improve the world around her, one letter at a time. Unfortunately her correspondences are not as appreciated as she believes, and things come to a head when this Lady of Letters is concerned for the welfare of the child across the street.
Soldiering On
In the aftermath of her husband Ralph’s passing, Muriel is determined to continue with her life. She cares for her daughter Margaret and dotes on her son Giles and his children. In order to overcome a liquidity problem, Muriel follows Giles’ advice with disastrous consequences. Throughout it all though, Muriel is determined to keep Soldiering On.
